Accounts Payable Clerk

We are based in Portland, Oregon with facilities in both Northern and Southern California, Chicago, Illinois, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Hartford, Connecticut. We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk that is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, per diems, and payments while demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills.
Some nuts and bolts about the job:
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper approvals and correct general ledger coding
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, and proactively research and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly or bi-weekly payment runs, including ACH, checks, and wires
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records, including W-9s, payment terms, and contact information
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving payment questions professionally and efficiently
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and internal controls
- Support additional accounting or administrative tasks as needed

- 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or accounting support role
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
