We are based in Portland, Oregon with facilities in both Northern and Southern California and Chicago, Illinois. We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work in our Hillsboro, Oregon facility. Our PMs manage multiple projects with a wide range of scope and deliverables. Projects include tradeshow, events, activations, permanent installations, all kinds of experiential work. 

Some nuts and bolts about the job and job responsibilities:

  • Work with project teams to provide value engineering solutions, specify material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications and building techniques
  • Move projects through their timeline, budget, and deliverables
  • Create and maintain a flexible and evolving production schedule and overall project budget
  • Maintain workorders through lifecycle of project for accuracy, intended expectation, execution and final quality assurance
  • Create and maintain change orders, keep all documentation in order
  • Facilitate and host meetings with project teams; act as information liaison between all team members
  • Manage and develop outside vendor network
  • Travel for on-site supervision as needed
  • Using AutoCAD, draft construction and set up drawings based on client, sales and production specifications
  • Provide drawings and work with external vendors
  • Create and maintain client inventory database and show/event reports

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management, production management, or as a producer
  • Extensive knowledge of exhibit or event industry
  • Experience with woodworking and metal fabrication
  • Knowledge of standard fabrication tools and techniques and blue prints
  • An extensive vendor network or the ability to build one and experience sourcing and managing vendors; experience as a vendor in wood, metal, fabrication helpful
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD parametric solid modeling, and familiarity with the current Autodesk suite of programs is ideal
  • Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and positively influence all project members towards client goals
  • Experience managing budgets and change order process
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, various collaboration and PM software and techniques
  • Ability to multi task and problem solve at a high level
  • College degree preferred
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
  • Able to travel for client presentation, site surveys, show site installation
